I have owned a K2 Karcher power washer for years and have used it for many different jobs. I recently had a clogged kitchen sink. I used a plumbers snake to dislodge the clog which it did but unfortunately it just moved the clog further down the drain and had a sewer backup in toilet and shower. I bought the pipe cleaning attachment in hopes I could use it as a water jetter for hydrojetting the main drain. The attachment was very easy to attach and within fifteen minutes the jetting action dislodged the clog and now everything works as it should. Although the attachment cost $100 it was cheaper than what the plumber was going to charge for this service - close to $300, and since I own it I can use it as part of regular drain maintenance. It did the job perfectlyUnfortunatley you have to buy an adapter to match this up to my G2650 so that is another $40. It would have been nice to know that before I bought this.Cleared a blocked drain that 2 plumbers had failed to clean. Admittedly I had to use loads of creeping forward then back with the hose but the main point is, it worked where profesionals had failed. Very pleased.28-Apr-2017 Update.Had the telltale sign of the drain blocking by the sinks and bath emptying very slowly. Filled the drain inspection area with buckets of water to have a heavy head of water pushing on the blockage and Iinserted the drain hose. Two minutes later a huge gurgle noise and whoosh, obstruction gone. Must make this a six monthly task!Having spent a whole day trying to unblock a toilet drain with rods, without success, I was about to call that well known firm. However, I watched the video of this item being used and bought one. When it arrived I did as the man on the video suggested and let it lay out flat for a day before use and it makes it easier to use. You do need 2 people and when the hose disappears up the pipe nothing seems to happen initially.. However, when you meet slight resistance push and pull it slightly and the blockage will start to break up and come back towards the user and then all of a sudden the blockage clears, believe me you will hear it, and then job done. Yes it is expensive but, unlike calling out a professional firm, you will still have the kit after the problem is solved ready for when you might need it again. Plus you will have saved a lot of money. When you start out with this please be patient. It works but relies on the user gently pushing in and out.The pipe is a reinforced hosepipe stiff enough to penetrate the blockage. One end has a brass bayonet fitting which fits into your Karcher jet washer gun. The other end is a brass bell end with water jets which spray backwards. This spray provides the propulsion for the pipe and bell end to rapidly move along the drain pipe.Fit the bayonet end to your turned off Karcher jet washer gun handle. I have two pressure washers, one cheaper low power and one higher pressure machine. This hose works best with higher pressure machines.Locate your blockage. With the water turned on into the Karcher but no power yet, insert the bell end into the drain to be sorted. Push the bell end in up to the red mark on the shaft.Once properly in, turn on your Karcher and let your pipe shaft go. It will speedily penetrate the drain. Keep pushing in more length until you hit the blockage. Now gently pull and push your pipe in and out until fluid levels rise and gurgling starts.Once the block has been loosened, keep pushing your bell end in and out. The water levels will suddenly rise and flow towards you. You will see the fluid and blockage disperse.Once the blockage is dealt with, the pipe will start to pull away from you. Let it go in all the way just in case a secondary blockage is present and repeat the above process.Be patient, it does work. It looks very similar to that used by the professional I had to originally call out.I found that it just didn't work with the lower powered Karcher washer. It does need some Welly. The most difficult part of this process was fitting the bayonet to the Karcher handle. Had to really push hard to get the brass bayonet fitting to securely attach itself to the handle. Apart from that, this has been a welcome and good value purchase. The pro charged me £180. I have used this hose twice now, it is definitely saving me money.
